I’ve traveled the world for most of my life.

As a teenager I found solace in bad assery by immersing myself in Punk Rock (sensibility), New Wave and Funk gender-bending aesthetics. I was that kid who wrote F.T.W. “Fuck The World,” on all of my notebooks, sketchbooks, reading materials, my school desk and bathroom walls (the quiet, black, queer, androgynous, goth-kid).

My reaction to ridicule, hatred and misunderstanding.

The more I began to channel my anger and frustration into creative visual/style expression, the more I was able to dig my way out of darkness and depression. My creative expression involved using my voice and body.

In college I was introduced to proper breathing techniques through somatic movement techniques.  The breath became an aid in extinguishing what had developed as my quick temper.

After college, I focused on a career in performance art, fronting bands, designing costumes and developing a club personality. These elements eventually lead me to a path of practicing yoga, where all aspects of my being could be funneled into breath, meditation and flow. Finally the practice lead me to 200hr teacher training certification.
